Hi reader,
Late June, the European Union issued 33 recommendations for a trustworthy Artificial Intelligence that meets the requirements of an implementation that empowers, benefits and protects human beings.
As i-PROGNOSIS enters its last semester, partners are working relentlessly to finalise the proof of concept that will improve the digital tools already existing for Parkinson’s early detection.
From the Parkinson’s patients gathering at the Flower Festival in Herrnhut, Germany to market leaders at the Microsoft Summit in Athens, Greece, i-PROGNOSIS kept the conversation going with community members and top-end researchers and innovators.
Where are we with our research? The general data collection (GData) study from users’ daily interaction with their smartphone will run until October 2019. The specific data collection (SData) study is also running with patients and healthy controls using the first smartwatches in Germany, Greece and the UK. The methodological aspects of the study on eating behaviours (EBePa) have been validated and recently presented in Ispra, Italy.
The smartbelt prototype to identify the changes in the gastrointestinal tract in the early stages of the disease was also released for medical partners to start the bowel sound recordings and analysis. Learn more in the interview with our partner from PLUX – Wireless Biosignals S.A.
There would be much more to say and share! You want to team up with i-PROGNOSIS partners and start discussing the next steps we will take after the project ends? Come and meet us at the next events where we participate or contact us!
