From 19 to 22 of November 2018, the Exhibition on Technology and Innovation for Social Good took place at the European Parliament. The event was organised by Greek Member of the Parliament (MEP) Ms. Eva Kaili and the aim was to showcase the achievements of technology for the purposes of social good, especially of projects that have used EU funding.

As the European Parliament is negotiating the next Multiannual Financial Framework it is very important to show that there is a strong entrepreneurial spirit that works or will work side by side with European counterparts using EU funding to address social issues and challenges.

i-PROGNOSIS, along with 15 other projects, were invited to showcase ICT-based innovations with positive societal impact. i-PROGNOSIS demonstrated the Personalised Game Suite and the iPrognosis application. During the fours days, attendants, including MEPs, had the chance to play the games and download the iPrognosis application with onsite support. The i-PROGNOSIS team also discussed with Greek MEPs, including the organiser Ms. Eva Kaili, and raised awareness on Parkinson’s disease and the i-PROGNOSIS objectives towards the development of an ICT-based Parkinson’s disease screening tool and of novel interventions for supporting patients over the course of the disease.

i-PROGNOSIS was represented by the Coordinator Prof. Leontios Hadjileontiadis and Dr. Stelios Hadjidimitriou from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), as well as Dr. Sofia Dias and Mr. Theodore Savvidis from Faculdade de Motricidade Humana (Portugal).
