i-PROGNOSIS coordinator, Prof. Leontios Hadjileontiadis, was invited to participate in his radio programme “The PassW0rd” of November 8, 2017 dedicated to artificial intelligence and health.
The PassW0rd programme is the UK’s only regular-hour long foray into the world of science and technology. In early November, it interviewed several health and artificial intelligence experts to explore how technologies can improve our longevity and quality of live as we are living older and/or with chronic diseases.
Prof. Leontios Hadjileontiadis explained how artificial intelligence can help early detect Parkinson’s in its early stages. The way you write a text message (measurement of the flying time between pressures on two keys), the tone of your voice (analysis of your voice features during the first 35 seconds of a phone call), the probability of smiling in selfies, the exploratory character of your walkability, etc. offer a dense sampling of information to researchers and neurologists to support their diagnosis.
