In November 2017, Dr. Sofia Balula Dias from the Faculdade de Motricidade Humana, Universidade de Lisboa, participated in an interview of the Portuguese national radio – Antena 1 to answer a few questions about i-PROGNOSIS.
The Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas and the Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier of Nova, in collaboration with radio Antena 1 and with support of Novartis, have created the radio program “90 seconds of science”, with the objective of showcasing the science made in Portugal.
It is in that frame that Dr. Dias popularised how the pressure that a user makes on the smartphone screen or the tone of voice when talking on the phone can help to identify early symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. She promoted the iPronosis mobile application currently available in Portugal, as well as Germany, Greece and the UK, for free on Google Play Stores.
