On June 29, 2017 the Action Group A3 working on the prevention of functional decline and frailty is gathering in Valencia. Our partner Sofia Balula Dias, from the Faculdade de Motricidade Humana (FMH), Universidade de Lisboa is attending to present the latest development of i-PROGNOSIS.
The European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing is a pilot initiative launched by the European Commission to foster innovation in the field of active and healthy ageing. i-PROGNOSIS has submitted a commitment to run a number of activities contributing to the objectives of the EIP.
The Action Group A3 brings together around 100 organizations, among which public health authorities, care organisations, academia, research centers, industries, patients associations and professional bodies, which have committed themselves to the objectives of understanding the underlying factors of frailty, exploring the association between frailty and adverse health outcomes in older people and better preventing and managing the frailty syndrome and its consequences.
